What We Do and Why
Operating on a September through May calendar, often in conjunction with the alumnae group of Agnes Scott College, Women Alone Together® offers seminars, a book group, and casual gatherings. Seminars provide substantive content in areas key to women and suggested by them. (See the section Key Focus Areas under Contents).
Early in the development of Women Alone Together®, women let us know that the seminars weren't enough. They wanted to build on the rapport that was evident during our seminar breaks. As a result, Saturday Sisters and Reading Group began. In addition, informal movie and dinner get-togethers, entertainment and travel events occur and continue to evolve. We are limited only by our interests and initiative.
Building on the "substantive" element of our focus, a monthly reading group seeks out books that motivate, inspire, and entertain. We meet monthly, on the second Thursday, in the banquet room of The Colonnade on Cheshire Bridge Road for dutch treat dinner and discussion.
Since we must reserve our meals ahead, you must contact our book group leader before attending. To join the separate Reading Group email list, email WATBookGroupfirstname.lastname@example.org include your name and how you found us and ask to be enrolled.
Once you have been added to the Yahoo Group, reply to those emails at WATBookGroup@yahoogroups.com to help us maintain accurate counts and menu choices.
Deadline for signup is the Monday before the meeting.

We hold this popular event whenever someone can volunteer as hostess. If you can host a Saturday potluck luncheon, send an email to
Hostess need only provide the location. Food is potluck, with everyone bringing a dish. We will manage drinks, dishes, etc. depending on the hostess' choice.
While we have conducted one day trips in conjunction with ASC Alumnae, we have also found growing interest in women sharing trips they are planning.
